Letter: Sleaze: Tories finally act after 18 years
Sir: It seems to be taken for granted that Neil Hamilton should be presumed innocent until proved guilty. This would obviously be appropriate if the issue here were one of punishment. It is not.
The issue is whether he should have the privilege of representing his constituents. Where there is privilege to be allocated, I see no injustice in presuming candidates unworthy until shown to be worthy.
