Letter: Snobs labelled?

Sir: Please do not be so patronising about high-street shopping ("Christmas challenge in the high street"). I imagine that many of your readers, like myself, have neither the time nor the money to shop at leisure in London's designer outlets. We have to make do with Next, H Samuel, and Marks & Spencer on our "averagely dismal high streets" for our Christmas gifts.

Surely it is the thought, not the label, that counts.
