I READ the nature verses nurture article in the Sunday Review with great interest. As the mother of two young sons I want to believe that nurture wins. However, at the moment, I have three nine-week-old kittens in the house and it is very noticeable that the male is significantly more aggressive than the two females.

I have questioned their mother about this, but she has never heard of the nature versus nurture debate and, as far as I can tell, treats all the kittens the same way.
