Letter: 'Stakeholder' riots

make us all "stakeholders" so that we may "share" in our country's prosperity is most laudable but doomed to failure. An earlier fiscal attempt to give each and every one of us the exciting opportunity to contribute to our society merely excited protests and riots. It was (un)popularly known as the poll tax, and payments are still outstanding.
