Letter: Survey surprises

Sir: I have recently concluded a wide-ranging and penetrative investigation into the degree of lying that occurs in sex surveys. The findings of my team of investigators were that people who say they have had only one partner in their lives have had, on average, four or five, and that those admitting to more than a dozen partners are generally virgins. The usual response of wholly truthful people was 'Bugger off.'
