Letter: Sydney, Manchester and other burning issues

Sir: The loss of life and property caused by the bush fires still raging in Sydney will evoke widespread sympathy for all concerned. It is indeed fortunate that the Olympic Games are not in progress, and we in Manchester should be thankful that bush fires are not a characteristic of our

environment.
