Sir: One might conclude from reading your obituary of Fellini (1 November) that the expression 'dolce vita' is no longer a current term in Italian. This would be wrong, for a 'dolcevita' is a polo-necked sweater. It is a very popular fashion item there this winter, together with that warming garment the 'montgomery' (duffle-coat).
