Sir: I am not sure how Frank Field arrives at his view that evangelical churches not only have more members but also more 'people of considerable wealth'. What I suspect is more likely true is that evangelical Christians, rich or poor, are more committed to the Bible's teachings. Believing that everything they have comes from God, they give more freely, and tithing is not exceptional.
