Letter: The national lottery: charitable uses for the money

Sir: Rather than a chance of winning pounds 1m for my pounds 1 lottery ticket, I would much prefer to have 10 chances of winning pounds 100,000.

There are many ways in which pounds 100,000 would help me, whereas a million would almost certainly present problems - as we have learnt from some of the pools winners.

I think most people would agree and I wonder whether it is too late to urge the Government to rethink the prizes.

Yours truly,

BOB MUSKER
