Sir: I write regarding the controversy over the Sunday Times's decision to publish excerpts from the diaries of Joseph Goebbels, edited by David Irving. As a historian of the period, I would like to know when a complete German edition of the diaries will be available for scholarly examination. And will other historians have access to this material before publication?
