TARIQ ALI's comparison of the ethnic cleansing under way in Kosovo with Turkey's struggle against PKK terrorism is grotesque ("Rebels in Nato's cause", 28 March). Ethnic Kurds are full citizens of Turkey just like anyone else. They have equal access to every position in society and government. Turkey has ethnic Kurdish ministers, MPs and civil servants. Ethnic Kurds have been the main victims of PKK terrorism - which is the source of the region's suffering. How many top Serbs come from a Kosovan Albanian background?
