Sir: You report a call by the president of the Welsh Nationalists (30 October) for Labour to follow his party's lead in providing for equal representation of men and women in a future Welsh Assembly. This policy was, in fact, adopted by the Labour Party more than two years ago, and was explicitly referred to in the policy document on the assembly that was presented to this year's Wales Labour Party Conference in May.
