Letter: Why doesn't the Post Office want our money?

Sir: The Post Office is patently uninterested in young savers. Not only is the minimum deposit pounds 20, as your correspondents discovered (Letters, 27 April), but to apply for an account my 17-year-old was recently asked to produce (as well as ID, which he had) either a gas, electricity or telephone bill in his name, a council tax demand or part of a pay or pension advice. How many teenagers have these?

Yours sincerely,
