Letter: Why women are not New Age victims

IF Linda Grant had spent a little longer researching her article she would have discovered that there is more to the 'New Age' than the elements she derides. Most people with an interest in the New Age, far from being unwilling to think for themselves, are prepared to consider ideas which radically challenge popular beliefs about the world, society and ourselves. An open mind is not necessarily an empty one.

As for the assumption that women have been flattered into buying rubbish, I think that says more about Grant's opinion of women than of the New Age.
