Sir: I wonder if the jury in the Louise Woodward trial were affected by the fact that Barry Scheck, her senior defence lawyer, was the man who "got off" O J Simpson? That trial has been seen as a miscarriage of justice and it is possible that the jury felt that Mr Scheck was too clever a lawyer to be trusted.
