l "WE DO it all for the children, don't we?" (24 December) rightly asks that readers should consider the less fortunate during the festive season. We'll need to do better than that in 1996, however, and the first task will be to get rid of one of the root causes of there being "have nots" in the first place. I refer, of course, to John Major's government.
