British Gas backers should be made more accountable

Sir: Now that shareholders have been shown to be impotent in the face of the block vote wielded by unscrupulous British Gas executives, non- violent direct action is the only channel left open to those who seek to get fat snouts out of the trough. Cedric Brown will be forced to climb down if sufficient numbers of gas consumers hold back until the final demand before paying their gas bills.
