I HAVE received a 22-question customer opinion survey from British Gas which I am not answering, apart from the Any Other Comments box: "British Gas is a commercial concern making good profits and giving high salaries and over-generous perks to management. Since any returns from savings and improvements resulting from my replies to your questionnaire will go to increasing profits, salaries and perks, I am not prepared to answer your questions for nothing. A £10 voucher redeemable against my next gas bill would be reasonable recompense for half an hour of my time. For this failed survey, may I suggest that Cedric Brown forfeits his share options?"
