I WAS pleased to see Anna Maxted quoting from my book The Good Diet Guide ("Slimmer after 16 years of diets?", 16 July), but I wish she'd spelt my name correctly. My ancestors came from Dunkeld, well known as "the Gateway to the Highlands", so you would think that at least people in Scotland would be able to spell it. But no; my name has been variously rendered as Dunfeld, Dungeld, Dunhill, Dinkeld, Drunkeld, Drinkle, Dunckle, Dunkeldo, etc. Anna Maxted's misspelling "Jane Dunkfield" is not as bad as was the Gas Board's addressing me for some years as "Jane Dungfield".
