RE apostrophes (Briefly, 3 September): I note that Sainsbury's is currently displaying a notice stating that they are remaining open late on Thursdays and Fridays "for their customer's convenience". I take this to mean that Virginia Bottomley wants to do her grocery shopping but hasn't decided on which evening.
