ANN BARR believes ('Calling the shots', Review, 9 January), that tampering with a much-loved classic is anathema to many, but movie tie-in adaptations of classic stories can stimulate interest in the original. We have published the film novelisation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden with great success, but sales of our reissue of the original have surpassed the adaptation.
