THE Government and the Ministry of Defence might adopt a more urgent attitude towards the safe disposal of redundant nuclear submarines if HMS Resolution was to be moored and left to rot at Westminster Pier rather than at Rosyth (23 October). Tow HMS Valiant to the same mooring and Parliament and ministry can each adopt their own vessel.
