RECENT correspondence has apparently identified the easternmost point on the United States as West Quoddy Head, Maine. However, the inspection of any good atlas will idenify Cape Wrangell, Attu Island, Aleutians, Alaska to be the most easterly point - its so far in the west that its in the eastern hemisphere.
