Juliette Binoche's modesty in suggesting that a rival was more worthy of the Oscar did not deserve to be dismissed so lightly by David Aaronovitch (Real Life, 30 March). He calls her a "daft bint": I wonder how he would appreciate being described as a "daft stud"?
