I ENJOYED Robert Butler's piece on multiplex cinemas ('A night at the pictures in 1994', Sunday Review, 16 October); but I'm surprised he didn't comment on Warner Brothers' bizarre ticket pricing policy at my local cinema, which offers concessions to 'military personnel', but not to nurses, doctors, police officers or fire fighters. Is the ability to kill people a necessary prerequisite for a discount these days?
