As Well as being a sport (Sport, 21 July), motorcycling has the potential to reduce congestion and pollution. The average motorcycle, compared with the average car consumes 80 per cent less material in its construction; 50 per cent less fuel per mile; causes 50 per cent less pollution and occupies 50 per cent less road space and 75 per cent less parking space. And it is more fun to ride.
