THe Most important issue for the largest number of people concerned in rugby union - the fans - is the live showing of all internationals on terrestrial television, something that John Major's much trumpeted review ot isnts simply ignored (rugby union, Sport, 21 July).
I hope that the proposed five-nation talks fail, that England becomes the pariah of the rugby union world it deserves to be, and that Mr Murdoch finds he has paid $87.5m (pounds 58.3m) for the New European Five-Nation Championships in which England competes with those well-known rugby union giants Andorra, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein and San Marino. But I expect greed to prevail.
