FURTHER to your article on the Home Secretary's proposal to place civilian prisoners in military-run penal establishments ("Glasshouses: not as tough as Michael Howard thinks", 27 August), I would think that many prisoners would jump at the chance to get regular exercise, use a proper lavatory, get clean clothes every day, and live in hygenic conditions.
