CHARITIES have to pay for services like any other organisation. If it is more cost effective to hire a telephone service rather than have staff receive thousand of calls a day, then so be it.
How ironic that the story appeared on the front page, whichcarried an advertisement for Rwanda. How many thousands of pounds of donors' money have you 'pocketed' from advertising receipts? Presumably these charities paid for the space because they have to spend money to make money. Is that a scandal? No. It makes perfect business sense to me.
