I was brought up in Glasgow(in the 1950s) and I never played hopscotch ("You can't play tag on a computer", 27 October). I never knew any of my friends to play hopscotch. That was an "English" game. We played beds with a peever, and we never played tag, always tig.

It is to be hoped that when the social workers are teaching the children these games they will do a little research into local terms.
