MANY thanks to Helen Fielding for a fine piece of journalism, "Battle of the great outdoors" (Review, 4 June), a most enjoyable read.
The same could not be said of the supporting photographs, in particular the one bottom right on page 13 captioned "Traffic jam at Winnats Pass". On closer inspection I note that the jam is made up of parked cars leading to a dead-end. In fact, the approaching traffic seems able to move with some ease.
Could this be some tongue-in-cheek slant on the extent of Derbyshire's traffic problems? Maybe we should ask Derbyshire County Council to fax its plans down to Westminster's council headquarters and relieve Londoners of their plague.
