Letter: Questions that scientists must answer on mad cow disease

AS THE mother of Victoria Rimmer, who is dying of spongiform encephalopathy, I would like to ask: how has she contracted it except from something that she has eaten? I have received a letter from a woman whose mother died from CJD. She was told that it was contracted by eating contaminated meat. For years she has been trying to get people to listen.

We want some action now before another child dies. I would hate any other parent to go through the living hell of seeing someone who they love in this terrible state.
