Should our woods stay public or is it right to sell them?
Shortly after the evacuation of Dunkirk during the Second World War, Churchill's government circulated a poster which proclaimed: "It's your land. Fight for it". That should be legally binding. I suggest the Ramblers' Association challenges the Government and the Forestry Commission on that proclamation, and the Royal British Legion (with its landowning hierarchy) demands the Government honour its predecessor's pledge to the nation's fighting men.
