Chris Maume's story sat uncomfortably beside your front page article, "Body in the sea thought to be child porn teacher" (3 August). Why is a man caught with indecent photographs of children denigrated in this way (the inference being that he is a paedophile) while a woman who actually has sex with a child is portrayed as a latter-day Mrs Robinson and some sort of feminist heroine?
