I ASSUME from the holier-than-thou attitude of the French and Germans et al to British beef that the home-produced product of those countries cannot be in any way suspect. Could it be that they are not testing or reporting to the standard that we are? Or are they just ignoring the home results? Surely we, as maligned beef producers, should call for such information of the same level as our own. I find it impossible to accept that BSE is only a British problem.
