IT IS strange how quiet the Conservative No Turning Back group has been about the beef crisis ("How ministers had to eat their words", 24 March). After all, there is a real danger that one of the success stories of the 1980s crusade against the Nanny State - cutting back the costly bureaucracy of the abattoir inspectorate - could be reversed.
