From Mr Derek Parker Sir: Today I received two small articles that I had ordered, as Christmas presents, from the US.

Not only was I charged customs duty (which, of course, I expected) but VAT on the US postage (which seems rather an imposition) and VAT on the customs duty which seems ludicrous.
