l I SERVED in the army as a band boy in the late Forties to sergeant in 1959. During this period I was aware that I was serving with some homosexuals and can confirm that it was not a problem. A simple rule was observed by both heterosexuals and homosexuals - no sexual activity within the confines of the barracks or elsewhere on duty.
