Doodie the Duck, who has been given an artificial tin leg to help him walk again after a bad injury. The leg, designed at Birmingham University, has been successfully tested at Doodie's Norfolk home, and will be properly fitted in March.
A bad day for:
Two soccer fans from West Africa, who were arrested when trying to cross into South Africa on stolen passports to see the African Cup of Nations. When told in court they would miss the entire competition, they burst into tears.
