A good day for:

Benito Mussolini, with the revelation by his son that the Italian dictator was a great fan of Mickey Mouse, considered Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs a masterpiece, and sang Disney songs to his children. He had discussed Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse with Walt Disney in 1935.

A bad day for:

Catherine Cookson, as Leeds University shelved plans for a course on the best-selling author's works. Not only had nobody signed up for the advertised course, but the University had not even had a single inquiry. They plan to try again in the New Year.
