Stranger Things Final Trailer

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has joined forces with Converse to create a limited-edition trainer collection.

Titled "Millie By You", the line features 10 unique colour-ways and prints inspired by Brown’s love for the ocean and its animals as well as DIY fashion.

Brown shared some of the possible options in an Instagram video announcement about the launch on Monday, including shoes adorned with images of Orca whales, hand painted waves and sunset tones.

The unisex collection is also fully customisable, offering shoppers the chance to change everything from the laces and eyelets to the logos to suit their taste.

The designs will be available in two iconic Converse Chuck styles, including Hi and Ox.

The accompanying campaign images feature Brown posing against a marine-like background, wearing clothes of similar seaside shades such as a cream boiler suit, denim jacket and coral-coloured T-shirt.

Speaking of the collaboration, Brown said one of the most exciting parts was that she gets to create the designs alongside her fans.

The 15-year-old will become Converse’s youngest ever collaborator. The footwear brand has previously launched collaborations with Blondie singer Debbie Harry, artist Damien Hirst and Nintendo.

The Converse website states that the launch hopes to “amplify her voice and celebrate the multiplicity of Millie as the young, quirky adolescent, and rising style icon”.

This isn't the first time that the actor, who plays the character Eleven in Stranger Things, has worked with Converse.

In 2017, Brown starred in a digital ad campaign for the footwear brand which focused on how the first day back at school makes teenagers feel using a series of GIFs.

Converse joins the likes of Nike, Levi's and H&M in becoming the latest fashion brand to releasing a range surrounding the Netflix science fiction series.

The H&M collection, which launched on 23 May, consists of swimwear, clothing and poolside accessories inspired by the fictional Hawkins Pool.

"Millie By You" is will be available and ready to customise on Converse.com and Converse.eu from 11 July.
