Emma Stone’s dream finally became a reality last night when she met her Nineties icon Emma Bunton at the Spice Girls’ Wembley reunion concert.
Ahead of the concert on Thursday night, Bunton shared a photograph of herself cosying up to the super fan Oscar winner in the empty stadium just hours before she took to the stage with her fellow Spice Girls — Geri Halliwell, Melanie “Mel B” Brown and Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm.
“When Emma met Emma,” the 43-year-old wrote in the caption of the photo with the hashtag “#2become1” in reference to the pop group’s 1996 hit of the same name.
In the photograph, Bunton can be seen sporting bubblegum-pink-coloured hair while the US actor is wearing a pair of white skinny jeans and a 1990s-inspired denim jack with a red love heart stitched into the left breast pocket.
During the concert, the Spice Girls’ band even paid tribute to Stone with a musical rendition of the theme song, La La Land, from the actor’s Oscar-winning 2016 film of the same name.

Bunton teased the pair’s meeting ahead of the concert on Heart Breakfast earlier in the day.
“Do you know who we’ve got coming – Oh I hope I’m allowed to say this but Emma Stone is coming tonight and I’ve never met Emma Stone and we’re going to be meeting her so I’m really excited,” she revealed to presenters Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston.
The singer continued, adding that she had heard Stone dropped her birth name Emily to be called Emma “because she was such a Spice Girls fan” as a child.
