Move over, big bad wolf - the big bad mole est arrive. The news flashes across the farmyard. Baa, goes the sheep; neigh, goes the horse; squeak, goes the mouse. They all pile into the barn, play merry hell with the milk churns and even have the nerve, in a nice visual gag, to upset the apple cart. But the boy-narrator of this story then announces that the mole has gone, at which point the book ends. A pity: next time the boy cries mole, he's going to get hoofprints all over his neck.
