Paradox, By Jim Al-Khalili

Professor Al-Khalili continues to promote "pop physics" and engage our grey matter in this accessible, imaginative book on science and logical puzzles.

Using simple if slightly geeky language ("this is my favourite veridical paradox"), he brings complex theory to the layman, from "the riddle of the missing dollar" (reminiscient of a GCSE maths brain-teaser ) to the "time travel paradox" (what would happen if your older self went back in time to murder your younger self?) inspired by Einstein's theories of time and space.
