Have you ever watch a film and been left thinking; what in the world just happened? Inception, Shutter Island and 2001: A Space Odyssey perhaps being some of the most obvious ones.

Well, luckily, those geniuses over at ScreenRant have released another one of their fantastic videos, this time explaining the most confusing endings ever.

As well as those aforementioned films, Total Recall, The Wrestler, American Psycho and Momento also feature. *Spoilers ahead, obviously*

While not necessarily a confusing ending, one recent film to be left on a major cliffhanger is The Lobster, director Yorgos Lanthimos and featuring Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz and Ben Wishaw.

In the bizarre film, Farrell’s character David manages to escape the confines of the hotel, making it to the big city with Weisz’s Short Sighted Woman.

Like how Inception leaves you not knowing whether the main character is still in a dream, The Lobster leaves you wondering whether David will blind himself to be like the now-blind Short Sighted Woman.
