All the Money in the World trailer: Kevin Spacey is unrecognisable as J. Paul Getty in new Ridley Scott film

'Get it from your father-in-law — he has all the money in the world'

Prosthetics is so sophisticated by this point that you can't even tell the character of J. Paul Getty in the All the Money in the World trailer is played by Kevin Spacey until he opens his mouth.

The oil billionaire is at the centre of Ridley Scott's latest film, the man referenced in the line: "Get it from your father-in-law — he has all the money in the world."

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

'All the Money in the World follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather (Kevin Spacey) to pay the ransom. When Getty Sr. refuses, Gail attempts to sway him as her son’s captors become increasingly volatile and brutal. With her son’s life in the balance, Gail and Getty’s advisor (Mark Wahlberg) become unlikely allies in the race against time that ultimately reveals the true and lasting value of love over money.'

David Scarpa (The Last Castle) wrote the script for All the Money in the World, which opens in cinemas 8 December.
