Captain America: Civil War has added two more actors to its cast (via ComingSoon); Community's Jim Rash and Desperate Housewives' Alfre Woodard.

The latter will certainly make a few fans' ears perk up, as Woodard is also down to star as Mariah Dillard in Netflix's upcoming series, Luke Cage. A Harlem politician, Dillard looks to bring a new era to the neighbourhood she grew up in; though her life is thrown into turmoil by Cage (Mike Colter)'s encounters with her villainous cousin, Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes (Mahershala Ali).

There is no information, however, on the exact nature of Rash and Woodard's roles; yet, considering Marvel/Disney have so stressed the interlinking natures of both their film and TV output, it seems incredibly unlikely Woodard would be cast to play two separate roles within the MCU.

When it comes to Rash's role, we may just be dealing with a brief cameo; director Joe and Anthony Russo have a long history with Community, and previously worked in its star Danny Pudi for a brief appearance as a SHIELD agent in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The two join an already gargantuan cast for the film: Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Emily VanCamp (Agent 13), Daniel Brühl (Baron Helmut Zemo), Frank Grillo (Crossbones), William Hurt (General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Tom Holland (Spider-Man).

Captain America: Civil War hits UK cinemas 29 April.
