Did Batman v Superman resort to making up a positive review?

Quoted Twitter user said they didn't actually enjoy the film

With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 28%, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was savaged by critics.

In light of this, Warner Bros employed the increasingly common strategy of lifting tweets from random film-goers and using them like official review quotes, even referencing the critical panning with captions that said tersely: ‘See it for yourself’.

Phrases like ‘MIND BLOWING’ in size 72 font, Twitter handles in 8, it’s a fairly effective, if slightly deceptive tactic, except when this happens:

At best, the Twitter user was misquoted or had a change of heart about Zack Snyder’s CGI-laden movie, at worst they never even tweeted about it.

The user, @RaniAresh, checks out, having zero tweets in their feed but still ‘I did NOT enjoy Batman V Superman’ in their bio, but the main B v S tweet doesn’t seem to exist (though very similar ones do).

It’s possible it never did, and this was all made up for the gag, but it wouldn’t be hugely surprising if it was deleted in light of the viral tweet - let us not forget the time Tom Hardy film Legend tried to pass off a two-star review as a five-star one.
