It's surprising how little we actually know about Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot, really. Cast and crew have been hovering the project right out of reach, teasing its potential wonders, yet revealing so few of its secrets.

Well, here's some merchandise to spoil the surprise, as merchandise is wont to do. LEGO revealed some of the figurines which will be released in conjuncture with the film, incidentally giving away a few clues on what the revamped take on the 1984 classic holds.

The main piece of kit here is the new take on the Ecto-1, the ambulance-turned-ghostbusting vehicle from the original, which had previously been revealed by Feig on Twitter. That's alongside the central quartet in their uniforms, as played by Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. Yet, the rest of the figurines reveal some very interesting, as yet unseen, tidbits about the upcoming movie. *possible spoilers ahead*

First off, we've been afforded our first paranormal creature from the film: a demonic, winged monster with a pretty ferocious looking row of teeth. It's interesting to see that it's been included as part of the main Ecto-1 set; does this hint at the fact we're currently looking at the film's major villain?

What's even more intriguing is the solo figurine of Hemsworth's secretary character Kevin, pictured on a motorcycle with some extremely red-looking eyes. Will a stint as victim of demonic possession, echoing the antics of Gozer in the first film, have a major part to play in the film's narrative?

We'll have to wait until the trailer, which Feig himself has promised will drop towards the end of the month.

Ghostbusters hits UK theatres 15 July.
