The Brothers Grimsby: Sacha Baron Cohen posts NSFW clip in desperation at box office flop

The comedian has released the first part of the clip shown to audiences at 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Sacha Baron Cohen has released the first part of the NSFW The Brothers Grimsby clip that horrified audiences on Jimmy Kimmel Live!; where a reaction clip was screened as opposed to the scene deemed "unacceptable for broadcast television".

The audio heard clued us in that the R-rated moment clearly involved elephants in some horrifying facet, but everything else was up to extremely inappropriate speculation. No more; as Baron Cohen has unleashed the first part of the scene on his Facebook page.

You can watch it below; but be warned, that NSFW label is no understatement. The set-up sees Baron Cohen's Nobby and his brother, spy Sebastian (Mark Strong), attempt to hide from pursuant enemies; with the only thing in sight on the expansive plain before them being a herd of elephants. Cue a gross-out moment being topped by an even more extreme gross-out moment.

It's an intriguing move to see Baron Cohen drop the clip, as opposed to relying on the viral potential of audiences' reactions to the scene, which does make it look as if distributor Sony are getting increasingly desperate to drive audiences to the film after a significantly poor opening.

Though the studio reportedly spent $7.7M on US TV spots for the film in the week leading up to its release, it's only earned $14.3M so far at the global box office; marking a box office low for the usually profitable comedian's work.

Blame likely falls with the obscurity of its titular UK town, where even its title change to The Brothers Grimsby may still have failed to land interest amongst US audiences; though it's notable the film hasn't been particularly successful in the UK either, taking in just £1.9M so far.
